Ah, sleepless nights have yet again helped in the composition if this article. I was just lying there thinking of random thoughts when I came across a memory.

I was thinking back to when I was watching Bones, and an episode that made me ponder the idea of plastic surgery and what it really did to you. In the t.v. show, Bones was against plastic surgery because it stole away a person’s uniqueness, and I am in complete agreeance with it. Insecurities are what we don’t like about ourselves. They cage us up. Perhaps it’s your big nose, your small breasts, or your curvy hips. But, do not let our insecurities define and control us. Let our talents and confidence do all of the working. Sure, everyone might have the same special trait as you, but that nose just makes it yours, and that is true uniqueness. By getting plastic surgery, you become fake and not you anymore. You lose a piece—or maybe even pieces—of yourself to look like someone else that majority of the population say is pretty. There is only one you, don’t lose it on the journey we call life. Never give up. Always dream.

Oh my. Was it only an hour ago that I planned on going to bed? Well, it’s too late now. As long as I’m on, I’ll tell you about sleepless nights.

Sleepless nights are not planned. And, in most cases, undesired. But they happen, and there’s no use in trying to fight them off. So you lie there while your mind is thinking a million thoughts per second. What outfit will I wear tomorrow? What will I eat for dinner? Who will I see? Or, in my case, will I pass my exam? You think about your crush, your family, your arch-nemesis. Food, life, future jobs, future love. Scenerios where you do something brave and courageous that you’d never do in reality. You think of the most random stuff like goats. Your past: things you regret, and things that you cherish. No, sleepless nights may not be desirable because they keep you awake, but they replenish the mind with wonder. When you’re on your bed thinking about the good old days is why we welcome that one sleepless night on occasion. Because we are able to feel alive. Never give up. Always dream.
